Applesauce 3 ways for your Squooshi pouchApple picking season is just wrapping up back East, and there is no shortage of apples around. We picked up a few bags of apples at a local stand and I made large batches of applesauce to fill Squooshi pouches with. Applesauce is perfect for pouches in the freezer and can be stored for up to 2 months. These are great for the lunch box, acting like an icepack to keep foods cool and then are a nice cool snack when lunchtime comes. Below are 3 flavored versions that we love. I prepared all of the apples at the same time, divided them equally and then added the secondary ingredients. These are a great alternative to pre-filled pouches that kids of all ages like to snack on, after sports, in the car or just hanging around the house.  This took me about 30 minutes to prepare and I had a weeks worth of homemade delicious applesauce!

To prepare:

Peel & chop all of your apples & carrots. Steam in a larger steamer until tender. I   put the carrots in a separate little pile in my steamer so I don't have to sort out later. Wash and chop your strawberries. Peel & remove seed from your peaches and steam until tender. Combine the ingredients listed below in a blender or baby food maker for 3 delicious blends.  Enjoy!
