4 large carrots
2 large apples
2 cups loosely packed fresh spinach (I use pre-washed organic)
Making your own baby food for on the go nutrition is simple and rewarding. My son loves this recipe, as do my husband and I. It’s an even healthier version of applesauce.
Steam the carrots until they are soft.
Add the apples on top of the carrots for the last few minutes – I like them to soften a little but not get mushy.
Puree together with the raw spinach adding the steaming water as needed to get the desired consistency. I currently use a Vitamix (which I LOVE!).
