Carrot Apple Ginger Puree for your Squooshi reusable baby food pouch

I love batch cooking purees and freezing multiple Squooshi reusable baby food pouches. That way, I always have something ready to go that I can pull out of the freezer the night before or quickly thaw in warm water for a last minute snack.

 

Here is a recipe that Reid loves on its own or mixed with some plain yogurt after it's been warmed up.

 

Carrot Apple Ginger Puree
3 medium carrots steamed
3 medium sized apples raw or lightly steamed
1/4 t. fresh ginger
1 C loosely packed mixed greens or spinach

 

I put everything in my Vitamix with approx 3/4 cup of the carrot steaming water and blended until smooth.

 

I left room in each pouch to add about two tablespoons of yogurt after they have been thawed.

 

This filled three large and three small Squooshi pouches and I now have a quick snack or part of a meal ready to go for the whole week!
