green applesauce for squooshi reusable squeeze pouch

You may be one of those blessed parents whose 4 year old is munching down on romaine leaves for lunch...but I'm not, and I know I'm not alone on this one!

Fill a Squooshi reusable squeeze pouch with this easy to make green applesauce and put it in their lunchbox.  Both you and your kids will be happy!  Lately, I have been giving this to Reid at least 3 times a week and it always comes home from school empty.   I make this in the morning and it literally takes 5 minutes.

Green Applesauce
1/2 C organic applesauce  (homemade or store-bought)
1 handful of organic raw spinach leaves

Blend until smooth.

This fills either one large or two small Squooshi's.  I usually give Reid a spoonful or two to taste when I make it because it gets him excited for his lunch Squooshi.

I have been giving Reid raw green veggies since he was about 14 months old but please check with your pediatrician to make sure your baby is old enough for raw veggies.  This recipe can be made with slightly steamed spinach as well.

Enjoy!

How long would this last in the fridge or freezer if I make a larger batch? I’m really hoping my son will eat this!
